3 for Tea

You know, Sheridan's 3rd birthday started out right...with PRESENTS! She was so excited to open up her princess tea set, pink roller bag, princess book, princess wand, princess magnet activity, princess aquadoodle, and princess CD player (thanks, Daniel and Deon!). Are we sensing a theme here? I think Disney hit the nail on the head. Either that, or they put something very addictive in the Princess stuff, so that the girls are instantly hooked. Kinda like Colonel Sanders puts into his Fried Chicken (what movie, what movie?!?). Seriously, the girl is a princess addict. She might need an intervention. Hmmm, maybe she just needs a good drink. From a princess cup. Wait! She did get one non-princess thing (yep, one). A new doctor kit, the kind most of us had as kids. This might be good, since the old Dr. kit was more of a surgical kit. 6 Year Celebration

It was a little crazy to celebrate Jack's 6th birthday. It was the same day of the week that he was born, which just brought back memory after memory of the birth experience. It was fun to talk to him at various times throughout the day about what happened at that point (no, not like "At this time, the doctor broke my water and then, BOY, did I really know pain", or "then I had to go to the bathroom and the IV got yanked out of my arm and blood was spurting everywhere". More like, "Aw, this was around the time that we were at the hospital waiting for you" and "oh, around this time you were actually born!" and "Aw, you pooped all over Mommy in the bed as she was trying to change your meconium diaper!" You know, the wholesome, not-scary details!). Jack chose waffles and strawberries for birthday breakfast. He devoured them. In the Vigue House, we start celebrating on the birthday. Don't worry, nothing questionable about this post! It's just that Tyler finally hit the big 3-0. That's right, it's a shoutout to the main man in my life, my fantabulicious husband. He's kinda had a less-fun birthday, seeing that it's LDS General Conference this weekend. We did have a surprise dinner party with his sister's family last weekend (all the rest of his family was not feeling well last weekend), which was super-fun. I finally pulled off a surprise party that WAS a total surprise! That's big for us! We had fajitas for dinner tonight (one of his faves) and surprised him with this piece of work. We'll have his choice of strawberry chocolate mousse torte tomorrow with some friends. All I can say about my hubby is that HE IS THE BEST!!! And now he's as old as me.
