February 2017

February can be rough because we're all sick of winter and grey, but Sheridan and Amelia's birthdays brighten things up!

We loved celebrating Sheridan's 10th birthday!

Birthdays are a party all day long! We start in the morning opening presents from siblings.

In the evening she opened presents from parents.
This birthday was super-awesome, because the family got to go to a Hoe Down at the kids' school!
Sheridan was IN IT to do-si-do!
Hooray for cute friends who will dance!
Amelia go into the spirit of the hoe down, too!
We wrapped up the day with cake and ice cream!
It was definitely a fun day!
Happy birthday, cute Sheridan!
We did have her party a little earlier. She had decided on making masks as a fun activity.
Didn't these kids do an amazing job with their masks?
There was pizza, veggies, cake and ice cream. Game and general mayhem ensued. Ha!

Of course, Amelia's birthday is the day after Sheridan's. It is birthday marathon in February, for sure!
Hooray for a pile of presents first thing! It gives her all day to play with her fun gifts.
Because her birthday was on Saturday, she even got to have her party on her actual birthday!
This year, Amelia was totally digging The Princess in Black, a fun series about a princess who fights monsters undercover. Super silly and super fun.
How fun to have so many friends come and celebrate!
And, of course, we wrapped up the day with gifts from parents. There may have been some leftover cake as well!
For Valentine's Day, we wanted to celebrate our FAVORITE guy!
So the kids helped make him a giant card.
Micah spent the month climbing all the things. He may be feral.
He's clearly showing everyone who's on top.
Silly boy!
It was warm enough (in spurts!) to get outside and play at this cool park.
The kids, of course, read plenty.
One might say, they devoured their books this month.
Devouring books made them think of burritos, so was rolled a couple of kids into burrito babies.

Wrapping up the month, we got to have our fantastic nephews (out from New York) for a few days. These guys are so thoughtful and fun to be around. We LOVE them!!!
