July 2016

July was a little different this year, as we stayed home instead of going on a trip.
Sheridan and Jack were participating with their strings group in the Colonial Days festival. It was our first time attending and we had so much fun!
Everyone got to try on the armor for size!

We put Amelia to work hauling water!

Then the kiddos got set to perform.

Lookin' good!

They performed some period-style pieces.

It was so much fun!
Amelia wanted to do strings as well, so she figured out her own way to put on a show!

Sadly, that weekend Cole bashed in his tooth on the coffee table. The coffee table won, and Tyler spent the day in the ER (hint, don't go to the ER with a smashed in tooth, ask them for the emergency dentist's number and save yourself some serious cash) and at the emergency dentist. It was not the funnest day.

Later, we were able to host a gathering of Tyler's friends and mission buddies from Latvia. This is such a great group of people (I clearly should have taken more pictures!
I later got to host my cute friends and their kiddos for a swimming day! ALWAYS lots of laughs with these ladies.
We went on some other adventures throughout the month with these ladies and their kiddos. It was so fun, I wish we still adventured together!

Tyler got his first headshot for his consulting job. Look at this handsome man!

He took the time to read to the kiddos when he had a break,

and they took the time to read Star Wars books when they were at church!

We got dressed up for any occasion. For example, dragon wings whilst devouring applesauce. It's summer, we can do that sort of thing!

Of course, we made sure to make plenty of time for swimming!

And for snotty lollipop pictures after!

Jack started to teach Micah to play the piano...

We took some family "hikes" to Bridal Veil Falls...

and we played lots of games! "Go Away Monster!" is always a favorite with the younger set.

And Uno is fun for almost everyone!

We fit in another visit to Thanksgiving Point, this time to The Museum of Natural Curiosity.

And Micah had another doctor appointment, this one at Shriner's. He got to go to only nights in the pavlik harness, hooray!
